The Idea behind Dark Matter Projekt

Organs and synthesizers are essentially the same instrument – only separated by centuries of technical evolution. Both are capable of sounding like an entire orchestra. With Dark Matter Projekt, I bring these two “forces of nature” together in one continuous work.
For 65 minutes, the audience is immersed in a soundscape that moves between epic film music, electronic textures and the sacred depth of the organ. A closed, dramaturgically shaped journey that dissolves the boundaries between concert, installation and performance.
“I am fascinated by how organ and electronics merge into a completely new sound – something that fits together in ways you would never expect.”
— Mathias Rehfeldt
